LET'S TALK COLLEGE.

January 22, 2014

In light of us venturing out to the University of Arizona (beardown) this weekend to do a trunk show, let's talk college.  what a trip.  August is the best time of the year for most people who absolutely love their college or who are about to be attending college for the first time.  Everyone comes back together from summer, the weather is great, it's syllabus week & time to party.  Freshman year is all about the dorms & cheap vodka (vitali...sick).  or you go the beer route & learn how to shot-gun.  you find which of your friends has the best dorm room & that quickly becomes the pregame spot.  tip: keep your grades up. (easier said than done)

Sophomore year you become more educated on the boys, what not to drink & how to manage classes with your social life.  But of course, with familiarity comes problems.  Some of your friendships fade & some boy drama always occurs.  The drink of choice starts be a little more mature, maybe a nicer vodka or some captain morgan, with chasers of course.  fake IDs start to become essential as a junior.  too many of your friends are turning 21 and no one wants to be left out because they can't get into a bar.

Then you're a senior before you know it.  you've moved on to stable friendships, a slightly more mellow pace (except for when you're in vegas) because you've been at the school for three years already & have been there & done that.  treasure your time in college: pre-work, pre-real world, pre-taxes, pre-LIFE.

college is a beautiful thing.  next time someone asks you, "why do you party so much?", tell them you're celebrating getting an education.   BOOM!

xo,

To the young people watching at home, don’t waste your time trying to be like anybody else, because the things that make you strange are the things that make you powerful.
